Dr. Allen E. Lin, MD
Dr. Lin is a first-generation Taiwanese American who was raised and educated in California, USA, starting his journey in the United States at the young age of two. He successfully completed his undergraduate education at the esteemed University of California, Berkeley, where he specialized in neurobiology. Notably, he was recruited by Taipei Medical University in Taiwan to become the first foreign medical student to study at their medical school, marking a significant milestone in his career.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Lin pursued rigorous surgical residencies and fellowships at Tufts Medical University in the USA, gaining invaluable experience in his field. His commitment to furthering his education took him to prestigious institutions abroad, completing fellowships at the Berlin-Charité Medical Center in Germany and the University of Florence Medical Hospital in Italy. In addition to his formal training, he has been an active member of Doctors Without Borders, where he worked in Chennai, India, performing vital cataract surgeries to restore sight. Furthermore, he is also an integral part of a dedicated team of doctors volunteering in Vietnam, where they perform critical retinal and cataract surgeries for those in need. Currently, Dr. Lin serves as the Chief of Retinal Surgery at Yee Zen General Hospital in Taiwan and is the director and owner of the Berkeley Ophthalmology, located in Taiwan.

從醫學院畢業後，林醫師在美國塔夫茲醫學大學 (Tufts Medical University) 接受嚴格的外科住院醫師和研究員訓練，在他的領域中獲得寶貴的經驗。他致力於繼續深造，因此前往國外知名學府深造，並在德國柏林夏里特醫學中心和義大利佛羅倫斯大學醫學醫院完成研究員訓練。除了接受正規訓練外，他也是無國界醫生組織的活躍成員，曾在印度欽奈執行重要的白內障復明手術。此外，他也是越南志工醫師團隊中不可或缺的一員，在越南為有需要的人進行重要的視網膜和白內障手術。目前，林醫師在台灣怡仁醫院醫院擔任視網膜外科主任，同時也是柏克萊眼科診所的院長。
